Character's Story:
Take a look at me. I'm a pretty normal guy, right? Blonde hair, blue-greenish eyes, and 5 feet-10inches in height. Pretty boring huh? Least that's what you'd think if you saw me on the streets. But you're wrong. My name is Ky Toshiro and this is my story. I was taken from my parents at a very young age, three I think and I vaguely remember how they were. I grew up at an institute located somewhere in Manhattan, actually it was more of a medic lab. It was a place where they engineered stem cells to find cures for things such as cancer and the like. But that wasn't all. A lot of other work was done as well. Work that was unethical to the medical practices, work that was above all banned by the government itself. And that's where I come in.

It was only supposed to be a three week experiment for genetic re-sequencing. You see I was born with an acute case of leukemia and since my blood type was so rare a transfusion wasn't possible. So I became their lab rat. After surviving past my expected three weeks, hence the length of the experiment, they continued with their chemical injections, some of which would kill a normal person that my body strangely adapted to. As I grew older I started getting odd sensations through out my body. Then one day I became very ill. I was fifteen then. The doctors couldn't explain it. My skin started to radiate a cold-like heat along with a greenish sort of glow. My heart went into cardiac rest once and when I came to that's when I heard that I was to undergo a termination to prevent the spread of whatever was inside of me and the leak of any information of what they had done with me. But whatever it was wasn't inside of me, it was part of me. I began to panic and the doctors had me strapped down to a table. Then I saw one masked man with a long hypodermic needle.

That's when it happened. I remember wishing that I was strong enough to break my bonds and escape. When that happened I started changing rapidly. The same cold heat coursed throughout my veins and my body started to glow as naturally as a lightning bug. Suddenly I was able to snap the leather straps just as easily as if they were string sending every one in the room into a panic and a few of the nurses fainted. The masked man dropped the needle and quickly fled the room and locked the steel doors behind him. I would've been trapped if it weren't for the one way mirror which I smashed through using the examination table as a battering ram. I don't remember much after that except that after I had escaped and was a good distance from the facility I looked at my reflection in a water puddle. The person that stared back was a huge muscle ridden-man that had to have weighed near 400 pounds. I kept on staring at this reflection until it slowly became my own once more.

I can't describe just how I felt at that moment with the waves of emotions and thoughts that overcame me. After moment or so I decided to put all of my feelings aside and test out what this strange ability. Dog! Rat! Chimp! Doctor! I was able to transform my appearance to any of these with no difficulty. I later learned that it was possible for me to do this because the human DNA structure is very similar to computer codes. Any small tweak to those codes would cause a change in the computers entire function.

Now here was the true test. I was allowed to read entertainment magazines for youths, roughly comic books from time to time. I remembered my favorite about a cybernetic hero so I chose this as my next morph. It was a bit difficult at first but I pulled it off. In less than two minutes I had a bioptic eye and a cybernetic arm, the exact appearance of the character which was as real as the actual thing!

So that's how it's been. I've been capable to elude the institute's searches by literally becoming anyone or anything imaginable that had helped me escape their traps for the past three years. A little secret though, I often turn to my favorite form of the cyborg with the exception of my own enhancements of the appearance because it adds class and it's just down right cool!

Comments: I had a lot of fun coming up with a character design to Athey's description and I hope others enjoy the image and story as much as I do!
