Character's Story:
“ Half bitterness we know, we know half sweetness;
This world is all on wax, on wane:
When shall completeness round time’s incompleteness,
Fulfilling joy, fulfilling pain? --- “

>From “The Half Moon” by Christina Rossetti

Laythie’s hybridism lays not within his appearance, but his personality and outlook on life. His species were renowned for being a somewhat less merciful race, however, Laythie showed a considerable amount of affection and kindness to others, and liked to do good in the world. Very few liked him because of this, and therefore pushed him out to the borders of their social circle.
After months of being shunned by both family and friends, this young demonic child decided to leave his birthplace and start a personal journey, figuring out his own existence, and why he feels the things he feels towards others. Some believe that down the generations, someone with celestial blood became involved with one of their own, and has carried those holy qualities down, only to arise within Laythie.
The boy’s friend, a devil-ball, accompanies Laythie wherever he goes.
