Character's Story:
Duvet Patch work, lapine of many threads. As speedy as a peregrine falcon, more clever than a young fox, and the best quilter in all of amish country; this rainbow rabbit stops bad guys dead in their tracks! Like a spider spinning out it's silky thread, Duvet shoots lenths of neverending material, lassoing theives and other evil foes. You'd better watch out, evil doers! Duvet is on your trail!

Long ago, in a small town in France, the very threads that holds the patchwork superhero together lay covered with dust in an old basket. You see, many years earlier, a kindly old women was working on a stuffed patchwork bunny for her grand daughter, when a terrible person broke in her house and shot her, just so he could have her money. Duvet saw all of this, with his shiney ruby eyes, and he was very upset. He swore that someday, he would stop evil doers from hurting innocent people, no matter how hard he had to work to do it. So, in the confines of his small and plain basket, he picked up a needle and some thread and began to sew pieces of material together. Before long, The many pieces of Duvet had become to many that he had to leave his small basket and work in the daylight. He curled himself up in the old woman's chair, where she used to set him while she slept, and worked on making himself complete.

So, I send a warning out to all the bad guys in the world that want to take advantage of the innocents; watch your step and never go out at night, for you may just find yourself encased in a cacoon of colorful material!

Comments: Hehe, this guy was so much fun to draw. I've had this idea for a patchwork character for the longest time, but no real reason to use it. When I read about this month's moc contest, I just knew I had to draw him. The necklace he's wearing holds the needle he used to sew himself together, and his red eyes are made from a pair of ruby earrings that belonged to the old woman. In case you're wondering, Duvet means quilt in french ^__^ Drawn on paper, scanned and colored completely (except for the words at the top and my name at the bottom) in photoshop. Enjoy!
