Character's Story:
The wind swifts and he who comes in the night travels and flies upon dreams. The nightmares drift away all in the work of one. Mareo dances with the stars and behind the wonders of our eyes. Although, no human being could see him. Nightmares dwell through depression and bad memories or experiences. For that, Mareo fights them and destroys them. With a cooling blow from his mouth, the nightmares disappear. But, this is one story that Mareo lost to one. A one child who suffers, lost in the dreams and departs away from Mareo's heart...

It was on night; Mareo pranced around in a search for a dream to rest in. He skipped from tree to tree looking upon the homes, which the humans lived in. Mareo, a dream traveler, still searched for a good night's sleep home. Then, he paused. He had felt something. A sense in his stomach told him to find something. It was rather confusing. The feeling felt like it was pulling him to something. Something Mareo could not even describe. All of the sudden, the stomach feeling stopped and Mareo was pulled like an invisible lasso hung onto him. The rope got him off his feet and he was being pulled in a far distance away from the tree he was standing on. Then...he stopped like his stomach feeling. He was now floating in front of a small blue house. It was most different from the other houses he was looking at. This is strange, Mareo thought. How did I get here? It was indeed strange for a warm gentle feeling hit him. It was more different than the rope pull. The feeling encircled Mareo as he closed his eyes and wiggled his elfish ears. He heard a voice... a girl singing. Mareo flew to the window where the voice of the girl was coming from. When Mareo peeked through that window and saw a beautiful girl about the same fourteen years of age as Mareo. Her hair was as red as the sun rising to an early morning. Her eyes were the colors of lovely emeralds. She continued to sing on her bed as she petted her bright orange kitten. Her eyelids were shutting. The girl's skin was peachy but pale. Mareo's eyes widen. He floated closer but accidentally hit his elbow on the waterspout next to the girl's window. It made a soft thump to the walls of the girl's room.

"What was that?" the girl wondered. Mareo stayed quiet. Even though he knew humans cannot see dream traveler, but he wasn't aware if humans could hear them. Mareo stayed quiet hiding on the side of the house next to the window. The girl stepped off her bed and put her kitten down as it mewed and went out the room. The girl looked out her window and laid her arms on the windowsill. She gazed at the stars her eyes now wide-awake. Mareo still hiding blushed as he got a closer view of the young woman. She moved her eyes to where Mareo was hiding; who thought he was still safe because he knew humans couldn't see him. The girl stared at the exact spot Mareo was. Why is she staring where I am? Humans can't see me, Mareo thought to himself. The girl tilted her head away from Mareo. "Who are you?" she asked. Mareo started to sweat. How was it that she was able to see him? "I know your there," she continued to glare at the nightly sky. " You can see me?" Mareo floated closer to the window. The girl looked at his position. "Of course. You're right there. Who are you?" asked the teenage girl who glazed her eyes towards Mareo. " How can you see me? No human can see me," Mareo said. " I don't know. I just can. You wanna come in?" "Are you sure?" "Yes," The glare of both of them made Mareo more nervous. He blushed to a color of a tomato. "What's your name?" the girl asked. Mareo gulped. " M-m-ma-Mareo. My name's Mareo. I'm a dream traveler," answered Mareo. "Madison is my name. A dream traveler? I never met a dream traveler. Maybe no one else would because us humans can't see you right?" Madison assumed. " R-right. I just don't get how you could see me," Mareo saw Madison tuck herself in bed. " Maybe my virus is the effect of me seeing you," "What virus?" "It's some sort of virus that can give the person, who's sick, hallucinations before---" Madison paused from her sentence. "But you're not a hallucination are you?" "No," Mareo said. " What will the virus do to you?" " I'll fade to the heavens. No doctor can stop it. There's no cure. Maybe you're my angel to guide my way there," Madison beamed. Madison closed her eyes and went to sleep. Mareo tucked her in more. "Good night," she whispered.

"Good night..." Mareo gave one more glance at the girl and flew away. He waited till Madison was completely asleep. He jumped to the dimension of dreams of Madison. He then again saw Madison sitting under a cherry blossom humming. Madison wasn't dreaming of her home. She was dreaming of being in an open field with nothing else but a beautiful cherry blossom with tulips growing around it. Mareo came closer to girl who was humming. There they were to talk again. Mareo overcame his blushes and got closer to Madison. He came back for Madison every night and every dream…till one day, Madison grew sicker. Her dreams were no longer the cherry blossom and the open field. It was now darkness and cold atmosphere. Mareo did not want Madison to dream it. The dreams were about horrid monsters grabbing Madison. Mareo took action and blew cold wintry breath among the beastly creatures. They kept coming and Mareo knew Madison was about to fade. He refused and didn't want Madison to depart.

One night, the dreams stopped and a bright light filled the cold dark fields of Madison's dreams. Mareo was ejected from the dream dimension. Madison was really pale and her peachy skin was disappearing and her life was fading. Her family sat and waited around with Madison but they couldn't see Mareo. The virus became more harmful to Madison and Mareo was not able to come back to her dreams. Madison's life faded one night as her family sobbed in misery. Mareo shed a tear and it dropped to the floor. Just then, he saw a light beaming down on Madison's body. Her family kept crying and did not see a spec of the light. Madison's appeared in front of Mareo but she was not completely visual. Mareo gasped as Madison's spirit walked toward him and gave him a final kiss on the cheek and faded into the light.

"I'll always remember the angle who guided me till the end of my days." Madison's voice whispered in the dream traveler's ears.

As for Mareo, he continued to travel always carrying the heart and love for Madison.
