Character's Story:
If you had one wish, what would it be? How would you possibly answer that question? Would you ask for immortality, endless peace, true love, or magickal powers? The crazy thing about you humans, is that you think things like this can bring you happiness. I have all of these things, and yet, my one wish, is to be someone else.

Anyone would do really, anyone except me. Who am I? Why my name is Mareo, and i am a Dreamkeeper. I traverse between the realms of what humans know as reality, and the DreamDesert. Once, I was much happier. Then I had come to terms with the immortality i gained from my elven ancestry, and was doing my duty as always; the bringing of peaceful and happy dreams to the most peaceful and happy of us all: children. At that time i had not yet seen the Desert, for i had never ventured towards a human. One day, i noticed a diferent reflection from the usual within the many refractions of the crystal which i used to enter the mind. I saw a beautiful child struggling with a visious nightmare. I could not in my own honor allow such a thing to take place, especially while i hade the power to cease it. Stepping through her picture, i suddenly found myself surrounded by dusky, unendling grey. Confused i checked my mirror and crystal again, and discovered hat all seemed to be in the right. Thus assured, i continued to the girl. She had soft, curling hair and healthy, tan skin. She couldn't have been more than eight, but as a father finds his child so did i begin to love her. I then vowed that i'd forever protect such an innocent being, from any who might harm her.

Returning whence her dreams were over, i was faced with an angry circle of elders. I had ventured to the human world, and was no longer fit to watch their kin. With formidable wrathe i was forever banished from my home to the Dream Desert, where my only joy might come from watching the child i loved.

Never to speak to another soul again, i wait still, and wish for the death i know cannot and will not come.
