Character's Story: Ah, Laythie. There are definitely things you should know about her. She was an outcast at onset and an orphan at that. She was picked up and raised among angels (because angels have to do stuff like that) but was clearly not one of them. Her hair, wings, and even tastes were too dark for angel standards. She was nice enough, in her own queer way, and was even grateful in such a position. Her daily strife can most accurately be attributed to the angels themselves. Though angels were quick to please and most courteous in manner and speech, they harbored deep prejudices and chilling thoughts. Being a good member of Angelic society was a rigid affair -- too rigid for anyone like Laythie -- and so it drove her to the lowest castes... By the 16th observance of her supposed birthdate (estimated at the time of her discovery), she had become very accustomed to the snide remarks and teasings by even her closest angel friends. But by chance, she overheard someone making a farfetched joke that maybe... just maybe... she had demon blood within her. The effect was chilling on her heart. It was said in the most careless spirit but the seed of thought was lodged in her head and suspicions grew within her... Like a dam suddenly cracking and breaking through, she just couldn't take the harrassment and cold shoulders anymore. She consulted an oracle -- by illicit means -- and was shocked, not only to be confirmed of having demonic blood, but also hearing a hint at her fate and reason for existence. A full prophecy could only be heard with more powerful and darker spiritual powers. Angels can hardly fathom the dark forces so the only place to obtain such a thing is in the demonic realm. Being part demon, she realized she might be just as home there than in this heavenly albeit friendless place. She had nothing to lose. Her years of submittive and locked up feelings aroused a curious sense of adventure. She was determined to find out what this prophecy had to say. Obtaining, once again illicitly, something called a "weapon" to protect herself (angels look down upon such things), she set off on her journey. Oh yeah, that puppy. She found it upon the pathway, apparently cast off and banished by its pack because of its 3 heads. A cute puppy with the capacity for love and friendliness. Feeling sympathy for a fellow outcast, she tamed it and brought it along. She named it something like, Cerberus? I dunno, you can ask the dog yourself when you're in Hell. He's there. Things would have looked bright for Laythie if it weren't ill-fated. * * * Laythie went into incurable madness upon having a tranformation of her soul. It happened when she finally heard the prophecy. It simply said Laythie was the culmination of a millenia's worth of disregard, hatred, and separation amongst angels and demons. The advent of the unborn angel-demon signified the End. The unborn, (rather, one who is not of biological parents), a testament to the lack of any biological angel-demons, would then be enveloped into destructive chaos. Evidently Laythie did not have any parents. She was the one. Consuming all the angelic and demonic worlds and purging everything beloging to the Age of Syllumina, she cleared the slate for a new age -- ours. Comments: great character guidelines! I tried my best on the art. the story is hasty but still tediously long to read. props to you if you got through my ramblings! Thank you loz64 and kawaii hannah for making MOC possible. |
