Character's Story:
"The lone figure stood silhouetted in the dieing light of dusk. She waited, unmoving, as the sun descended behind the distant horizon, and her crept slowly across the open plain. The light would soon retreat once more, and with the night, he would finally arrive. She waited.

Darkness fell and still she waited, obscured, now, in the black of night. The air was warm and quiet; the only sound was of a gentle breath of wind, whispering in the grass and in the leaves of the lonely tree under which she stood.

And then, the subtle sound of hooves beating the earth came riding on the playful wind. Had he finally arrived? Her secret, true and forbidden love? She turned about, her eyes searching the field lit only by dim silver moonlight, until she spied the rider approaching from the south.

But blinded by the dark and thoughts of love, she was deceived. The rider was not the man with whom she had been meeting in secret under the cloak of night, but another man, one of ill intent. The man captured her and brought her to the royal court to be punished, for she was a mere peasant, and the man for whom she waited prince and heir to the throne. Their love had been discovered after all these years and now she stood facing the most unspeakable of fates: a curse of unfathomable cruelty.

Her soul was ripped from her body by the most powerful and wicked sorcerer in the king’s service, and banished to the empty fields in which she met, on each warm, clear night, with her forbidden lover.

The sun did rise and fall over the field for many years; flowers of pink and yellow bloomed and died again; the snow fell, then melted away; but the soul of the young girl remained. And when the field was no more the spirit continued to live, wondering the earth deprived of home, life, and love, striking the deepest most painful feelings of loneliness into all those whose eyes fall on her ghostly form. And still she wanders, wanting love and finding it never."

I've never writen a story before so don't laugh! And drawing and especially shading hair and drapery has never been my strong point, but hey, there's only one way to improve right? I had fun doing the background, tho^_^
