Title: Cho and Toshi

Email: animegirl_06@hotmail.com

Story:
Fog swirled around Cho as she drifted. She drifted for so long. So far, So far from Ganymeade, from her time. Into a new time. One where everything was different. She remembered what the doctor had told her before she left. Remember not to show your wings, never show your wings to anybody or you will be taken away and put on display behind a transparent wall. Cho couldn't imagine having her wings tucked away under her shirt all the time. They get all cramped up. She absently flexed her feathery wings and rolled over. Now she could hear the noise of the laboratory coming back to her and the doctor speaking. "She's coming back. Why did she move? I told her-" I'm in trouble if I return to my time. So she rolled back over and was careful not to move for a long time. The fog was thicker now. She knew she wouldn't be able to go back to her time now unless she really wanted to. Unless she struggled. Suddenly she panicked at the thought. Calm down. I practiced this a million times. Nothing's going to happen. But for some reason she could still feel the panic swelling up inside like a balloon. She wrapped her wings about her and sang herself to sleep.
Suddenly she woke up. There was so much noise around her. Sleep clouded her eyes but she could see that she wasn't drifting anymore. Realization dawned on her. I survived the travel. I'm in the future! She tried to stand up but ended up leaning on a tree in dizziness. The air seemed so heavy around her. Like there's a million little things floating around. Everything came into focus. She was lying in the grass with her wings splayed out about her. Her wings! She ducked behind a tree. Folding her wings as tight as possible, she tucked them under her shirt. She practiced holding her wings in place as she walked around. Her shoulders were already aching. I better get used to it.
She walked down a path. She had no idea where she would go. Suddenly the grass stopped and a great grey path appeared. She decided to take that one. Suddenly there was a loud honk and she ducked as a big machine whizzed by over head. Cho ran to another path and out of impulse spread her wings. Suddenly she realized what she had done. Oh well, she thought and took off. She soared over the machines. Then big glass rocks rose out of the ground up to the sky. Cho smiled inwardly. "I challenge you!" she yelled at them and beat her wings, furiously trying to top the buildings. When she reached the top she perched on the edge and looked over the side. She got dizzy and fell, only to come back up a few seconds later. And then she saw it. Another angel like here was standing on the roof of a higher building, watching her. The doctor told me there would not be others like me here. Oh well! And she flew over to him. He started flying off before she got near. "Hey you! Slow down!" She called. But he had flown down into the space between buildings and disappeared.
The next day she thought about what the doc had told her about where to go to sleep and eat and go to school. She had lots of pieces of gold; the doctor assured her that was enough to last on before she wanted to return to her home. She went to a place called a hotel and she got a permanent room. When she gave the man at the desk a chunk of silver he smiled and nodded, more to the silver than Cho. He didn't even ask her why she wanted a room when she was only fourteen. Mabey I gave him too much... Cho opened her door and fell onto the bed. It was so soft! She hadn't slept for two days, but she wasn't very tired, being half angel and all. Even so she fell asleep soon after she lay down. The next day was very busy. She had to go to a store to get food. She got apples and nuts. Lots and lots of apples and nuts. She wondered why there were so many other kinds of food which your not supposed to eat. Mabey they like the taste and not the nutrition, but she shrugged it off and stuck to her apples and nuts. When she put them in her little fridge, it still looked empty, so she went back and bought some other food like bread with red sauce. (Pizza.)
The next day she went for a walk around her new neighborhood. It was very noisy and the air was so heavy. The people were generally so unfriendly that she went back to her room and sulked for the rest of the day. Later in the week Cho walked up the street to the high school and enrolled herself for grade ten like everyone back home had told her to. Now that she had been in this strange world for a week she felt so much more like she really fit in. Such a relief! At school she had no idea what she was supposed to be doing and just sat through the classes. There were so many bigger kids than her that looked so mean. Her first few days were very frightening. On Thursday she was walking when some one tripped her and she fell smack down on the floor. Her books scattered on the floor and she had a bleeding nose. But what was worse, some of her wings were showing! Cho got up without picking up her books and ran tear-faced down the corridor. She wasn't looking where she was going and she ran straight into someone. She looked up and saw a boy about a foot taller than her with brown hair looking at her with a confused expression. "What’s the big hurry?" he asked her. "If you don't slow down your going to hurt someone, namely me." he said jokingly. Her eyes glazed over a dark purple tint. "Sorry," she mumbled and she absently tucked her wings back in. Where did I see him before? " Are you a new student?" he asked. She was still fixing her wings when she nodded quickly. "I really have to go now..." she trailed off then rushed away, still tucking at her wings. The boy watched her go away. "Funny girl. Really gonna hurt someone if she doesn't stop running around." He mumbled as she glanced back again over his shoulder.

Cho was still banging her brains when she got to her room. She knew she had seen that boy before, not in school. Or mabey she had just seen him on the streets. She gave up and slept on it.
She woke up the next morning with the idea all of a sudden. It was him! Cho rushed to school eagerly. When she got there she looked all around for him. She found him at lunch break. Suddenly she didn't know what she was going to say. She couldn't just say Are you an angel? or Do you have wings? Then she had an idea. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around so fast he almost knocked her over. "Are you here to run into me again?" he asked her. "Come over here." She said. When they were some where they couldn't be heard, she pulled out a feather and held it up to him. "Mlaleagdam." She whispered. "What?" "Mlaleagdam." she insisted. Every angel would know that word, Something clicked in the boy's face. "Mlaleagdam," he said to himself. "Are you really?" he asked. Cho took his hand and brought him around to the side of the building. When she was sure there was no one around, she unflureled her wings. When they were fully spread, they were as long as her arms. and they had a pink tint to them. Her eyes obtained a blue spark of excitement as she looked at him hopefully. His wings were blue and magnificent and the wingspan was six feet almost. "What's your name?" "Cho. You?" "Toshi."
She was really so happy when she went home that night and when she fell asleep. I've found a person like me. Another human-angel!
The next day she went to school with Toshi. Her classes were so much easier to get through because she had a friend to look forward to. Toshi was in a different grade than her, grade thirteen, she figured. But that didn't matter. Toshi didn't have other friends either. Toshi came back with her after school. The only place they could open their wings was at her place. Toshi never told her about where he lived before. Now they spent most of their time flying around the tops of the buildings. It was funny to see the people in the buildings. They were so high up but they did not get dizzy; probably because they were used to the height. Once when they went really high and when Cho looked down she practically fainted. Toshi caught her fast though. Don’t look down. I won’t, don’t worry.
Soon though, Cho started to fit in at her school. One day a girl came to her. She had long, long black hair. "Hello, I’m Sainya. We have to do a project and we would like you to do it with us. This is Bridget." A short girl with brown hair that was tied back appeared. "Hi." She said quickly. "Sure!" Cho said excitedly. Wow! Some real friends in my class! The project was about the planets. They went to Bridget’s house to work on it. "Just a sec," Cho said and ran off to find Toshi.
When she found him he was doing homework on the front lawn of the school. "I have to do some project with a couple of kids in my class so I won’t be home today. Sorry." she said quickly because Sainya was calling for her. "Fine," he said without looking up. "Bye." Cho said apologetically and ran off to Bridget and Sainya. Sainya drove them there in one of the floating machines. Cho saw that there was lots of grey paths suspended from the buildings. There were lots of other floating machines like the one she was in. Cho deeply resented riding in it. The air was heaviest around these paths, and the machines were what made the air heavy. She was sure.
That day when she was sleeping she started drifting back to her world. She didn’t want to go back so she got up in the middle of the night and brought Toshi back to her house then she told him to go to sleep and think of her world. Then she went to sleep. When she returned to her world Toshi was there. The End

Comments: Sorry I ran out of ideas for the story so I made it stop short there. Also because I just found out my picture didn’t get sent proper so I had to write it all over again.
